In Between Day X1 and Day X2: occupations still going strong in UK

The 24th of November (Day X) was the second day of action in defence of public education in the UK this month. Students and university staff protested, stormed public building, danced in the streets and occupied university buildings.  By the 24th, at least 22 occupations in different campuses were taking place, as for today at least 11 of them are still holding strong.  For a list of current occupations in the UK, contact info and more details visit: the Edinburgh occupation blog.
November 30th (Day X 2) is expected to be the next students day of action against budget cuts throughout the UK.

  1. Thanks for linking to our occupation page. We’re in contact with all the occupations. Delegates from the occupations have been meeting at UCL over the weekend to discuss further actions. We are forming a national network of bases from which we can rally support. And the support has been phenomenal!
